For :iconrivoka-syndrome:!~

E D I T March11// Updated art for the 3rd time, this time I'm satisfied enough with it. =w= I added her color pallet too for color-picking ease, mostly for my own use although you could potentially pick from it presuming that you were drawing her. //omfgifyouaredrawingherthenthankyouinadvanceomfg//

----------

Name: (Doesn't remember), Rena

Alias: Ree, Ray, Rennie, Ree-Nee (Although normally she'll like get super annoyed at ones like Rennie and Ray, she's fine with Ree and Ree-Nee. However, if she's close enough to the one calling her the annoying nicknames, she'll let it be.)

Age: 16

Gender: Female

Height, weight: 5'3" (159.66 cm), 115 lbs (52.16 kg)

Weapon(s):
+ One long dagger that hangs low around her neck, normally concealed under her overshirt. Few people know about this. She sleeps with it around her neck, and essentially never takes it off. (Apart from bathing.)
+ Two short daggers in a hidden compartment in the soles of her shoes. Nobody knows about these. Only used if her main one is inaccessible, since she hates loosing the element of surprise. Plus, come on, these tinier ones are easier to loose and are meant for throwing, if anything. She can use them quite well but doesn't have many extras.

Division: Scout. She likes to know what's going on around her and when it's going on. Since she's blind in one eye, she pays extra close attention to everything around her to be sure she doesn't miss anything. She's swift and agile due to her low weight and short final height. She's good at climbing trees and hiding in general.

Personality

+ Quiet: She's silent, so naturally she's quiet.
+ Distant: When you first meet her, she's very isolated from you and won't tell you much. However, as she gets more comfortable with you, she'll open up.
+ Mysterious: She likes to keep whatever she's doing under wraps if it involves making things to make people more positive/upbeat and to cut down on fighting. She won't tell anything pertaining to her plans when it comes to venturing out and doing things on her own. (She feels like she needs to prove herself in order to be valued as a productive member of the scouts, no matter what others tell her.)
+ Curious: She's normally exploring when she can. The lab is big, and she's convinced it's full of secrets.
+ Stubborn: She doesn't like to change her mind whenever she's decided she wants to do something.
+ Cheery: She likes to remain positive when she can, since she's convinced it will rub off on everyone else.
+ Agreeable: Tends to go with the flow to avoid fights. As long as the planned activity / whatever others want to do don't conflict with whatever she's thinking of doing, she'll obey and go for it.
+ Innocent: She doesn't comprehend more, *ahem*, adult topics and other more mature things. However, she does swear sometimes.
+ Modest: Doesn't like to gloat over things she's done, and will often pretend she hasn't done anything.

Likes
+ Quiet areas
+Friends
+ Communication
+ Animals
+ Music
+ Bakery goods, especially loaves of bread and cakes.
+ Pranks every now and then, if you piss her off. Or if she's bored. Preoccupy her if she's mad at you, then she'll most likely forget. Temporarily
+ Reading
+ Making people happy. She often will go out and paint things in various rainbow colors and make posters to hopefully cheer people up after they've been upset.

Dislikes
+ Loud noises (ie: Gunshots, bells, alarms, whistles)
+ Not being able to remember personal things from the past. It annoys her greatly whenever people try to pry it out of her due to this
+ Fears needles and any medical supplies. Would rather allow the wound to be infected and kill her than to get stitches
+ Her blind eye
+ Ice
+ People being angry/upset/yelling around her
+ Smoke, it gives her a headache and coughing fits. Doesn't like to stay around it for long. If she does end up being around it for prolonged periods of time, she will get irritable and try to leave at any excuse possible to avoid being snappy/mean

History: Rena doesn't remember her personal history. She was involved in an accident making her mute and stealing half her vision roughly 4 years prior, and has been writing down/typing what she was trying to communicate ever since. Her father and mother never really got along, and her father was very violent at times. She was visiting Japan to celebrate her older brother's birthday when the explosion went off, her parents died and her brother's whereabouts are unknown brother is in the lab now. She got her phone as a Christmas present when she was 11 years old from her mother.

However, Rena does remember everything (possibly better than she should) that happened after the bomb.
Do you want to live?
She was a bit confused. Nothing had happened, had it? Was this some sort of killer who played with his victims before finishing them off?! Panicking, she chose yes. Sure, life sort of sucked sometimes, but she at least wanted to go out after making an impression on the world!

She woke up mostly buried in the rubble of the building she and her family were at to celebrate her brother's birthday. She only remembered that she had selected yes on her phone and a few minor details about the world prior to the bomb, and a few things about survival skills and martial arts. She could feel her phone in her pocket, the charms pushing on her skin uncomfortably. She looked around and noticed a slightly ripped blanket waiving like a flag from a sharp edge of a blown out wall. She walked over and grabbed it. She was cold, and it didn't seem like there was anything for miles. Suddenly, two deformed and hellish looking creatures flew down from the sky. They resembled owls. She panicked and reached around her neck instinctively, finding she had a dagger. When the owls got closer and dived, she cut one of their wings deeply so it couldn't be used, quickly glanced around to see where she could go, she started running west. She didn't have anything to go off of, but she figured being in the dense cover of the forest off in the distance would be better than staying out in the open. She had no idea what else could be out here, and upon reaching the dense cover, she looked back. Thankfully, the owls hadn't followed. She dusted herself off and began carefully walking through the forest ahead, her dagger constantly ready to stab something.

She'd been out for a few days, fighting whatever dared approach her. While most of the time she'd been able to escape without having to kill the creature, other times she'd had to figure out how to either effectively make it bleed out or stab it in a singular spot to finish it off. She'd been awake for days, the blanket tied around her waist and her steps heavy. She didn't think she could go on for much longer without passing out from hunger, thirst and fatigue. Glancing around, she noticed a promising tree and walked over to it, climbing up and finding a sturdy branch to sleep on. She reluctantly sat on it, and thankfully it didn't crack or lurch. She tied herself as best she could with the blanket to the tree and fell asleep.

Waking up the next day, she glanced around before climbing down, carefully making sure to be quiet and grab the blanket, tying it back on her waist. Upon reaching the bottom, she looked around once again. The area was clear, and she began walking in the direction she was previously.

Soon enough, she came face to face with another monster. She began to go around the gathering of the creature, a spider. As she thought she was finally done with sneaking around them, her stomach rumbled loudly. Wincing, she looked back, finding she'd attracted the attention of the monster. It glared at her, seemingly happy to have found what it thought was an easy meal. She turned and ran, but the monster persevered. The spider's leg ended up stabbing through her as the creature had either misjudged it's distance or had tried to use it as a weapon. Desperate to get free, she ended up using her dagger to slash at the leg, cutting it off. The spider stumbled and decided she wasn't worth it, turning back without a leg and without a catch. She slowed to a walk as the trees began to thin, feeling rather fatigued due to blood loss and lots of running. She pulled the leg out from her side, tearing up a little as it hurt as much as it did on the way through her side as back out. She threw it to the side, wanting to be rid of it. Slowing to a stop now, she grabbed her blanket and tried to dabb away as much blood as possible without making it sting. She felt her knees buckle, and she ended up on her hands and knees, trying to put pressure on her side to keep it from bleeding. She soon fell to be laying down, the blanket still waded under her wound. Her eyelids grew heavy and she couldn't keep them open much longer, when suddenly… Voices. Voices and a pair of black and white shoes in her vision. She weakly raised her head, looking up to see a rather tall person compared to her with bandages over the right side of his face and his right arm. She couldn't make out what he said as she drifted off into sleep, not able to resist it any longer.

She awoke in a white room, looking around. People in doctor's coats were around her, and she glanced around. She noticed she didn't have her dagger and didn't feel her phone in her pocket. Glancing to the side, she noticed them on a table nearby. One of the medics noticed her awake and went over to her. "Ma'am, are you feeling alright? You were lucky the scouts found you when they did." Rena nodded. "Alright, ma'am. How many fingers am I holding up?" The medic asked, holding up three fingers. She raised three fingers. "How many, numerically if you'd please. Come on, speak up, can't you?" She shook her head. The medic looked confused. "Can't you speak?" Rena shook her head. "Ah, so you're a mute. Let's test your vision, then." The medic said, holding up an eye chart. "Cover your left." The medic said, and Rena shook her head gain. She made a gesture to her phone on the desk. "Oh? Yes, you can take your phone if that's what you want." Rena did, typing hurriedly. 'I'm mute, but I'm also blind in my left eye.' She showed the medic, who frowned. "Hmm, I wonder what the leaders will think of you, then. Sit, relax, you've been out for a few days. You've made a great recovery though! We were actually all surprised you were still alive in your condition." Rena shrugged, looking around. 'What's going on? Who helped me? Where am I?' She typed. "The medic bay. Welcome to the game!" The medic smiled, and as they were about to leave, Rena clapped to get their attention. 'I hate to be a bother, but I'm really thirsty… and hungry. Do you think I could get some food or something?' The medic smiled and nodded. "Sure."

Others
+ Rena is blind in her right eye.
+ She is mute.
+ Her hair is shorter in the back (blonde) with longer bangs in the front (brunette). The bangs are dyed.
+ She can write with either hand, although the writing with her left hand is a bit shaky.
+ Most often communicates with her phone instead of writing
+ If I do happen to put a stutter in her speech, it's her pushing a button more than once out of nervousness/anxiety/whatever.
+ When she's panicked or in a rush, she types in text speak. (i.e.: Txt, u, gtg, s2g, brb, etc.)
+ She's got amnesia, and doesn't remember her personal history.
+ Loves to strategize situations, enjoys doing things thoroughly and correctly, with a good plan.
+ Her barcode is on the white of her left eye.
+ She can be quite childish sometimes.
+ Doesn't easily admit to things she's done.
+ Wouldn't care if she had an injury too much (well she'd cry a bit if it was major major but whatever) but as soon as someone gets a cut she tries to fix it.
+ When something goes wrong, she often will blame it on herself even if she had nothing to do with it. If she wasn't there, she'll go into what she had done previous and blame herself for not being there and doing other things than being helpful.
+ If you ask her for something, she will happily oblige unless it involves her fears.
+ She would get upset if you teased her/was mean to her (but not like majorly unless it really struck a chord with her) but the second you say something mean about her friends she won't hesitate to punch you in the face as hard as she can. If she can reach it, that is.

Relations

In her division:

Keizo: She sees him as an older brother figure, and someone to confide mostly anything that's bothering her in. She likes his company, along with the others.

Kin: Thinks he's kind and caring, although a bit awkward sometimes. An adorkable friend that needs to be worried about because lion backpack = small child on the inside. She likes hanging out with him, especiallymakingbrowniesinthekitchenoops//

Haruka: She thinks that Haruka's a bit rash, and a bit too quick to action. Considers her a friend nonetheless. Although, her pranking may go to the extreme sometimes. And she's a tad stubborn.

Liam: Thinks he's nice, although a bit clumsy. She thinks he's quite useful too. Although, she's a tad terrified of him as he is the bringer of needles when there are no medics nearby.

Kairi (male): Thinks he's kind of cool. They have something in common. Although truth or dare made her think he's less cool. Plus he's mute by choice, and she would kill to speak. But, she doesn't hate him or anything. More of an acquaintance.

Eren: Thinks he's pretty okay, in his grumpy sort of way. I mean come on, anyone who makes her good food is a cool person in her books. He's fun to be around. Sometimes. Depends on his mood.

Tamo: She thinks he can be nice sometimes, but doesn't like how he sometimes ends up stirring up trouble. She thinks of him as a friend nonetheless.

In other divisions:

Gekko: She thinks he's a good friend, although she's not fond of his insisting on fixing her wounds, she can see that he's trying to help her and thinks it's pretty nice of him.

Asha: She thinks Asha is pretty nice, and quite fun. I mean, a treasure hunt? That's awesome. Although it's not so awesome when she turns one of Rena's own pranks against her.

Masaru: Nice, kind, and super awesome. Plus, he's pretty much the only official medic that she can stand for the most part. I mean, with a fear of needles and medical supplies in general, how common is that?

Cvetka: He stole her notebook and she doesn't like that very much. I mean really now she likes that notebook.

Clarence: Although she doesn't know his name, she'll never forget him just because of how weird he is with his 'War god' and crazy science talk that confused her.

"Gun man" Mikeal: Doesn't particularly like him. He makes loud noises. Loud noises are bad. Very bad.

"War god" (AKA Alexei): Although she doesn't know his actual name, she has developed a slight respect of sorts for him. Because he stopped gun man from making loud noises.

Crow: A bit more childish than he should be. Startling her didn't exactly make her think highly of him, but his begs for forgiveness sort of swayed him into the neutral zone.

Matthais: Scary kidnapper dude. She thinks he's crazy for thinking he's her brother, and doesn't think they look anything alike, and therefore thinks he's just batshit insane. She doesn't like him too much. Intervention please// She doesn't like being kidnapped by crazies
